Idea: Amazon "Suprise Me!"

May 26, 2013 4:25 pm

Dear Amazon,

Here's an idea to make some easy money.

You already have my wishlist and my credit card information.  Now just let me sign up for a "Surprise Me!" service: Every so often randomly select something from my wishlist and send it to me.

Let me select which wishlists to include, a maximum price limit, the payment option to use, and a frequency.

If you want to be nice you can give me a small discount on each item purchased this way (like you do with the "subscribe and save" service).

This really shouldn't be very hard to implement, so I expect to see this rolled out soon.

It would be kind of like those CD/Movie club things, except I'd get stuff I actually want and I'd be able to easily skip deliveries or cancel the service.

Thanks,
Kyle

Erin - age 15 - stuck in hamper

She may now have a law degree, but at 15 Erin still struggled against the mighty forces of the plastic hamper.  My favorite comment from Mom: "She's supposed to be smart."

Enjoy!

I also enjoy that Erin had apparently been toddling around like this for some time.  Enough time for Mom to find the video camera and get it working and then say "Okay Erin, now let's see you go around the room in it again."

Henrietta

This is Henrietta, Heather's pink hippo sleepytime buddy:

henrietta
You may be thinking, "Wait a minute. That's not a hippo. That's a giraffe!", in which case you'd be right. I thought it was a hippo. We've called her a hippo. Only just now, when I was trying to find a picture online because I'm too lazy to take one myself, did I discover that she's a giraffe. My world is topsy turvy, and I can only imagine what this is going to do to Heather. I hope we make it through.
We started giving Henrietta to Heather at bedtimes when we stopped swaddling her, and it's been really helpful. It gives her something to do with her arms. And, apparently, it's way easier to sleep when you have a hippo (argh! giraffe!) on your face than otherwise. Also, seeing her snuggled up with her is just adorable. (I need to get a picture of it, but I can't do it when she's sleeping, and I'm not sure she'll do it at another time.)
Anyway, we love Henrietta, and we'll just have to accept her, no matter what she is.
